NHHS 25-yard pool Youth Program: Swimming for age 5 and up! Improve your swimming skills. Learn all the competitive swim strokes, starts and turns. We teach each swimmer to swim using fun techniques in a fun, structured atmosphere. Age group swimming Age Group Swimming Team: For swimmers of all ages who are ready to attend swim meets. We teach all the competitive strokes, turns and starts and focus on team-building and stroke technique. We have regular USS (United States Swimming) swim meets and all members need to be currently registered US Swimming members. US Swimming SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday- 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Beginning Group 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Beginning Group 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM Intermediate Group 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Advanced Group Saturday- 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM Advanced Group COST: $100 per month USS (United States Swimming) Senior Training Group: For dedicated swimmers who want the highest level of training available. Advance training, travel team, advanced stroke technique and instruction. Regular USS swim meets. COST: $125 per month stroke development Swimming Lessons: Small group swimming lessons. Weekday and weekend sessions are available. 1/2 hour swim lesson 2 week sessions (weekdays) Maximum 4 per class 6 week sessions (Saturdays) COST: $150 per session Masters program Adult / Masters Swimming: Swimming is the best form of exercise for adults. It is "one of the few things you can do thave gives you more back than you put in!" We have adult groups for all ability levels from beginners to past Olympic medalists. Practices consist of stroke drills, stroke technique instruction, swimming sets and goal development. We have a great group of swimmers and practices are fun! All swimmers must be currently registered with US Masters US Masters Swimming. SCHEDULE: Mornings- 5:00 - 6:00 AM Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 - 7:00 AM Saturday Evenings- 5:30 - 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday  COST: $80 per month SPMA (Southern Pacific Masters Association) Pacific Coast Aquatics Coach , Mark Desmond, MA About the Coach  Mr Desmond has been coaching swimming for 30 years.  During these years he has developed many All-American, National and world class swimmers.  He has taught the benefits of swimming to thousands and has developed swimmers of all ages from children through adults.  Mr Desmond's experience has also included coaching high-school swimming for more than 12 years, during which his teams have been among the best in California and the U.S.  His teams werre in the Top-Ten in the coutry for six out of twelve years.  Mr Desmond has coached many college swimmers who have gone on th compete in the NCAA Championships and has had countless others receive college scholarships for swimming.  Some of his swimmers have medaled in the Olympic Games representing the U.S.  Mr. Desmond has also worked with the 1994 and 1998 National Water Polo Olympic Team where many of the members swam for Mr. Desmond.  He has also developed successful weight training and dry land programs for his swimmers. Besides coaching, Mr. Desmond is the Director and Instructor of a nationally recognized head injury program which he has developed over the past 24 years called High Hopes.  The program he developed is known to provide outstanding results in helping head injured adults regain abilities lost due to accidents for which he has been featured on numerous radio and television shows.
